Lucy finds out Chris is in a gang, Chris gets worried she will out them to the police so he abuses Lucy so that she doesn't out the gang. Chris makes Lucy resign for policing, lucy resigns without telling or saying goodbye to anyone at the station just sends a paper copy of her resignation.

TW * Weapons Officer involved shootings are always the hardest calls for any officer. They're protective of their own, going to great lengths to ensure that the officer is okay so panic surges through the entire station when they receive that call. "SUSPECT DOWN, REQUESTING A SUPERVISOR TO SCENE. OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING." That's the moment when everything stops, officers are assigned to the call and dispatch monitors calls closely. TW: abuse and swearing Lucy has had a tough upbringing, her parents constantly criticised for everything she did with her life. When her parents found out that she dropped out of college to join the LAPD academy, they were furious about her career choice. Because of her being a disappointment they forced her to change her name from Chelsea to Lucy so they didn't have anything to do with her. What will happen to her?

Lucy, Wesley and James are all kidnapped together, as an attempt at revenge against Tim, Angela and Nyla, due to an arrest they were all part of, back in the day. Will they be able to keep themselves alive long enough for their partners (or ex-partner in Lucy's case) to find them? This is set in season 7 of The Rookie; Tim and Lucy are still broken up, and all of the other relationships are the same as they were at the end of Season 6.

This story is based on the events of 5x20, where Isobel momentarily returns to carry out a UC task with Lucy's help. I have changed up the events a bit, and played on Lucy's jealousy towards Isobel, and her interactions with Tim. Lucy is not willing to be second best, and makes that abundantly clear. How will Tim deal with this? Includes some Nyla x Lucy bestie moments, as I feel we didn't get nearly enough of that in Season 5 or 6.
