There was a time when Althea Isabelle Reyes believed love could survive anything. She gave him her heart. She carried his child. She dreamed of growing old beside the man she thought would never let her go. Instead, he became the reason she learned how heartbreak could feel like mourning someone who was still alive. So she left. Not because she stopped loving him, but because loving him was slowly destroying the woman she used to be. For two years, she built a life from the ruins he left behind. She learned to become both mother and father to their little girl. She buried every dream they once shared and convinced herself that some loves are never meant to be found again. Then fate-cruel, relentless fate-placed him in front of her once more. Only this time, the man standing before her was no longer the man who shattered her heart. Lance Gabrielle Villanueva had spent two years searching for the woman he lost. Two years carrying the weight of his regrets. Two years becoming the man he should have been from the very beginning. But apologies cannot erase betrayal. Regret cannot return stolen years. And some scars don't disappear simply because the person who caused them has changed. Now, he is willing to spend the rest of his life proving that love isn't spoken through promises. It's proven through patience. Through sacrifice. Through showing up every single day. But how do you trust the same hands that once let you fall? How do you believe in forever when forever was the very thing that broke you? Perhaps some loves never truly die. Perhaps they simply become echoes-lingering in the quiet corners of our hearts, waiting for the day we find the courage to listen again. This is a heart-wrenching story of love, betrayal, redemption, forgiveness, and the impossible journey of learning to trust the person who once taught you how to live without them.

This is a story about what happens when love meets grief and neither of them wins. Before, there was laughter in the dark. Stolen touches. The thrill of wanting something we were never meant to have. He felt like rebellion and safety all at once - like if I chose him, the world might burn, but he would stand in the flames with me. I didn't understand that some fires don't keep you warm. They consume. There was a night - the kind people whisper about later. The kind that divides your life into before and after. When the dust settled, something precious was gone... and the boy I loved was left carrying the weight of it. He never said it out loud, but I saw it in his eyes. The guilt. The unraveling. The quiet way he began pulling away from me long before I realized I was losing him. Grief changes people. It turns love into something desperate. It turns promises into things that tremble. It makes you cling tighter... even when you should run. I told myself he was hurting. I told myself pain makes people do things they don't mean. I didn't realize some damage can't be undone. By the time the truth surfaced, it was already too late. Too ugly. Too sharp. The kind of truth that doesn't just break your heart - it rearranges it into something unrecognizable. He says he'll spend the rest of his life making it right. But love born in secrecy. Love baptized in tragedy. Love tested by something unforgivable- It doesn't come out untouched. And if you're waiting for me to tell you we survive this... You should know something first. Some nights don't end when the sun comes up. Some nights follow you forever. And ours was the kind that leaves a body behind.
