Imani was just supposed to make sure that the lost dog got home safely, come back, and pretend like the mere thought of the owner with doe eyes and an armful of tattoos didn't make her question her entire belief system. Sounds simple enough...right? It isn't. (onc prompt #69 | when music becomes a way to communicate no words could compare)

[Formerly known as 'Trinkets'] Mahika and Amoli can't stand each other, but that's not the only thing they have in common. Mahika treats Amoli like she's childish. Amoli thinks Mahika is a stuck-up prude. But Mahika's best friend and Amoli's brother are getting married, so they can't ignore each other forever. If that wasn't the case, they wouldn't even acknowledge each other's existence. Right? Wrong. What meets the eye isn't all there is, is it? Throw a big fat Indian wedding, some alcohol, and a dimly lit hotel room together, and you'll find out, too. Because Mahika and Amoli certainly do.

Once upon a time, there was a boy with pink-dusted cheeks that waited for Skylar outside class every morning to walk her to her next one. Breathless laughter echoed in her room after he would climb in through her window every evening, eyes crinkled into crescent moons and cheeks bunched up with the force of his smile. Together, they would listen to music under the river of stars in the sky every night. Now Skylar is miserably grown up, the windows in her room stay firmly shut at all times, and the boy she wanted to share her music and her life with is now a planet outside her orbit.

Soren never asked to be the only faerie on campus who can see ghosts. Because honestly? It's kind of a nightmare. Between dodging chatty spirits in the hallways, and constantly being late because some 200-year-old ghost will not move from the dorm entrance, Soren has enough problems. And after Soren loses his protective charm, things get worse. The ghosts aren't just harmless annoyances anymore. Some of them are dangerous. The shadows are getting darker, the spirits are getting hungrier, and Soren is seeing things that no faerie should ever be able to see. Soren would love to focus on literally anything else, like figuring out how to make a certain angel fall in love with him or passing his exams, but first? He needs to fix this before he ends up as just another ghost on campus.

Riley just wanted a cheap place to crash during a convention. Instead, she booked a $30/night Victorian Airbnb with a haunted bed, a lineup of centuries-old ghosts waiting for their exes, and a host who may or may not be a reformed chaos demon. The listing promised "unforgettable experiences." It wasn't lying. - My one-shot entry for the What in the Wattpad writing contest (prompt: One bed... and it's haunted )

Willa Liu is an expert at keeping things simple. Her life is ordered, her books are alphabetized, and her relationship with the effortlessly cool Iris Shaw is strictly casual. A perfect system designed to protect her from messy feelings. The system, however, did not account for Bartolomew. When Willa's demonic cat, a creature who considers affection a personal insult, melts into a purring puddle for Iris, it shatters Willa's carefully constructed walls, leaving her with a dreadful realization: in a relationship with no strings attached, she might be the one who is hopelessly tangled.
