You know you were never going to be chosen... and yet, you loved anyway.
You kept showing up.
You kept smiling at her as if it didn't kill you-as if something inside you wasn't quietly tearing apart every time her eyes passed right through you, like you were never there to begin with.
You laughed with her. You walked beside her. And you died a little each time she spoke about someone else.
Because deep down, you knew the truth:
you were never her type, never her choice, never what she was looking for.
And no matter how gentle you were, how sincere your heart was, how loudly you loved-you would never be enough for someone who was never meant to want you.
Philosophy tells us we exist to search for meaning-but what if the meaning you found is the very thing slowly undoing you?
Loving is hard...
But loving someone while knowing you will never be loved in return, and still choosing to give them all of you-that is a different kind of pain.
It is giving every piece of yourself,
only to realize you were the only one holding on.
Some hearts were never meant to be held. And yet yours keeps reaching-
even if it means breaking, every single time.
And still... in the end, you tell yourself it was all worth it.
