Hunter has a daughter. He raised her with his crew. No one knows about his son. Except Crosshair, or why his girlfriend left. But now Crosshair's on the Empire's side. When he gets assigned to a mission to "help" the Chiss colony, he meets Thrawn. He recognizes him instantly. He knows where Hunter's son has been now, and can call Hunter out on his affair.
