*Sequel to Backstitch* Disclaimer: I do NOT own Uglydolls or any of its characters. Only the OCs and the plot belong to me. "I'm sorry," Lou whispered helplessly. "I...I wish we could switch places, but...that wouldn't do anything, huh?" Nolan smiled sadly, "No, not really. Cause if we did switch places, I'd be telling you the same thing." They sat in silence for a few heartbeats. Lou curled his knees up closer to his chest, head resting in his arms. "I'm sorry you're stuck here." The brunette was in a similar stance, smiling tiredly at the blonde. "You say that like it's a bad thing." "Isn't it?" Nolan's eyes drooped. His smile didn't falter, though. Taking in a steady breath, he leaned against Lou, head resting on his shoulder. "No."

"I-I'm sorry. I'm just..." "It's okay to be scared, Lou," Nolan held his hands tightly. He gave a light laugh, "I'm scared almost every day. It's nothing to be ashamed of." Lou clenched his jaw tightly, facing away with his eyes shut tight. "I...I'm scared to wake up from this. To--To open my eyes and see you gone, too. T-To be alone again." His voice hitched, "I can't do that again, Nolan. I-I don't know what I'll do. I'll...I'll go insane--" "Hey, it's okay," the brunette tried to bring him back to reality. "I'm here right now, aren't I? I've been here this whole time. If I didn't plan on staying with you, I wouldn't have offered to help in the first place." "But to keep you here, basically trapped for the sake of helping me--" "What does being trapped mean to you?" Lou took in a shaky breath, "B-...Being alone." "Are you alone?" "...No." "Am I alone?" "Of course not," his response was quicker, making Nolan smile softly. "Then, the way I see it, neither of us are trapped. Not anymore."

Since the children, as He calls them, are people of flesh and blood, Jesus Himself became like them and shared their human nature. He did this so that through His death He might destroy the devil, who had power over death, and in this way set free those who were slaves all their lives because of their fear of death. Hebrews 2:14-15 (GNT, AMP) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a short story about a missionary who faced persecution because he preached Christ Jesus, the Son of the living God. He went through trials and tribulations because he professed his faith in Jesus, the Saviour of the world. Be blessed as you read in Jesus' name. Amen.
