Astra is the only girl in The Glade. She doesn't hate it: she has many friends and gets to run The Maze, which she surprisingly enjoys. However, as the only girl, she has always felt out of place. She never felt completely included. Every single month, another boy would come up into the box. A Greenie. This month it's someone called Thomas. She knew his name before he did. Something's wrong with him. Or with her. She can't tell what's wrong, though. Maybe she can try to figure that out. Or she'll die doing it.
