The police, FBI, school, hospital, friends, family-- everyone she can think of. No one can explain the four mysterious disappearances of her mother, father, brother, and sister. Basically because there isn't anyone to tell her. It's like the world decided to disappear and she was the only one left. For weeks, she's been living alone. Rationing her food and swimming in past memories. That is, until a boy shows up. Neither of them know the other with one exception; he's lost his memory. He can hardly remember his own name, much less how he found Rowin in the first place. Soon, their friendship turns into something that helps them survive. Sometimes, expecting something out of someone is the worst way to connect with them. Tin Tin Amble knows this all too well, coming from a family with a father who wants him to do everything but what Tin Tin wants to do and a mother living in fear that her marriage isn't scaling up to what she expected. Not to mention two younger siblings who he feels responsible for. Pressure's on to be perfect, but he's anything other than that. In school, he's known as the High School's photographer. He carries his camera with him everywhere and is definitely in the "in" crowd. Then the phrase "Do it, you won't!" is directed at him in particular and he snaps. In desperation to prove himself once and for all, he gives in to prank a girl, also in his Junior class, named Alivia. Little did he know that the prank was all part of God's plan for something more worth while than trying to prove who he is to a bunch of kids. {Started: 11.2.15 Finished: 3.31.16 } (PC: andrewling || Instagram)

Usually, when I go downstairs, I see my mom cooking breakfast, my dad reading the newspaper, and Grace reading a book. But today, they aren’t home. Mom isn’t cooking. Dad isn’t reading the daily newspaper. Grace isn’t reading a book. I go inside the kitchen and mom must of left the water boiling. I go to turn it off, when I see something strange. Mom’s clothes are on the floor. I turn to see at the table that Dad’s clothes are on the floor. Right next to his clothes, Grace’s clothes are on the floor and the book she was reading was the bible. The bible was opened to 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” No this can’t be happening. It’s all a dream. Yeah, I just woke up from sleep and this is just a dream. I should be waking up by now, I think to myself. I go in the living room and turn on the television. “Breaking news, the world is going crazy. People are vanishing all around the world and all that is left of them are their clothing. There are major accidents and even plane crashes going on around the globe. People would call this the rapture. The end time and-” I turned off the TV. So I’m not dreaming. This is real. Why? Why? Wasn't I good enough? What did I do?, I pray. Note:This story is clean, so no cuss words. Unlike some books I read :)

Cora Drake can see the other world. A world that is supposed to be hidden from the eyes of all mankind, but for her, the veil has been lifted. After a near death experience when she was fourteen, Cora Drake blocked the memories out, never wanting to re-live them again. The scars on her body being her only reminder. Four years on the traumatic events soon begin to reveal themselves in her dreams, where she sees the distorted face of a man she knows in her heart is not human. The man who had saved her life. The long lost gift that she had since forgotten is also awakened and develops into a dangerous power she doesn’t know how to control. Is it a gift or a curse? She leans towards the latter when, as she starts to see more of the hidden world, it causes a chain reaction that threatens to destroy not only her life, but the lives of those around her. Not aware that what happened that day is the key, she must uncover the truth and at the same time try to deal with the issues of normal, daily life, while the dreaded consequences of knowing more than she should about the other side becomes chillingly clear. ******** This work is unedited but hopefully readable ;) Please DON'T FORGET TO VOTE AND COMMENT. Have you ever wondered what happens to our consciousness when our bodies pass away? It's a big question, but let's explore it together. Our minds are like stars in the sky, shining brightly even when the clouds of life cover them. Some believe that consciousness might continue to exist just like those stars illuminating the darkness. If that is so, what could life be like on the other side? Think of it as an amazing adventure. It might be filled with love, understanding, and a sense of peace we can't fully grasp right now. In the new novel by RL Morton, The Teacher, main character Fallon Ford, a typical high school teenage girl, after surviving a series of harrowing adventures, found the answer to that compelling question which has puzzled mankind from the beginning of time. Regardless, while here on Earth let's let our lives shine as bright as those stars. Keep dreaming big and exploring the wonders of existence. Morton's prose is bold and provocative. The Teacher is a read you must not miss.
