New to New York City, the quirky artist, Camila Cabello finds out what it really means to shed light on someone. Especially when that someone is notorious blind girl, Lauren Jauregui. Lauren Jauregui is a climber or more professionally speaking, a mountaineer who's having difficulties resisting challenges. She truly believes that her entire existence is based on beating the odds or more so, she feels like her purpose is to defeat them, no matter how troublesome they might be. Luckily Lauren is good. She is strong and she is fearless, but some things are inevitable. One thing for example is that things that go up will eventually fall down. And Lauren, she falls. And when she first falls, she falls hard. But even when she fails she beats the odds, surviving the fall with severe damage to her body and then, as simple as that, she meets nurse Cabello. A woman with a completely different outlook on life and with a nature that for once makes Lauren feel grounded.

When Lauren finds a seemingly cute puppy by the side of the road, she decides to take it in. Convincing her other roommate to let them keep such a cute pup with wolf-like features wasn't hard, but when they wake up in the morning to find its not a dog, or wolf for that matter, things get a little complicated. Camila has such a natural instinct of being over protective, curious, and over all, oblivious to most things. Though she's a quick learner, Lauren struggles to help Camila fit in.

Summary: Lauren Jauregui is an immigration lawyer for the state of New York. Camila Cabello is a Mexican/Cuban born "immigrant" trying to avoid deportation. Though a portion of her nationality is Cuban, she was born in Mexico and therefore is ineligible to receive permanent residence under the Cuban Adjustment Act. She researches and finds that she can get an adjustment of status if she marries a U.S. citizen, simultaneously ridding the possibility of deportation. It isn't set in stone but Camila is willing to give it a try.
