This is an emotional story. Shen Wei is dying, but he's not prepared to leave this world without finding out about the coins that were found in the chateau. Black Robe and his host have chosen not to go with him and stay in the city, while Yunlan, Guo Ying and Kappa join him on his search for the lost tomb. Wei still has a problem with dark energy, and Ying has to minimise his contact with him, so Kappa takes him by her speed, but even she makes him weak. Ava and Chu remain in the hotel on the island as medical backup in case they are needed, while Zhang Qiling leads them through the jungle before they reach the deadly sands, and finally the mountain. Wuxie and his team are ahead of them, with Boss Jiao lingering in the background, waiting for his chance to steal anything of value. Bk. 23.

Masquerading as Kunlun, Zhao Yunlan sets out on a mission to recover the stolen Hallows alongside the young Shen Wei. Along the way, he discovers new abilities, forges new bonds, unearths old histories, and learns that the universe goes beyond his wildest imagination.
