Basically, when Draken dies in front of him, he just couldn't take it anymore and somehow he lost consciousness but except for the eternal sleep he was hoping for, he was instead transported to a new dimension (or a very different timeline) And now all of the well known gangs he knows is in prison AND so is he. :)

The story follows the original plot but with a small twist: Takemichi leaps 12 years into the past to save his first love, Hinata Tachibana, and her brother Naoto. The key difference is his vampiric nature. He isn't a brooding, powerful predator. Instead, he retains his canonical personality-earnest, emotional, physically weak (by vampire standards), and prone to crying-but his biology changes the dynamics.
