Sofia and Prince Hugo have been best friends for a long time. When it is revealed that Royal Prep will put on a play of "Cinderella and the Beauty Within", Sofia and Hugo decide that the time has come to officially start a relationship! To get started on this, they decide to audition for the play...and end up with the roles of Cinderella and the Prince. But Amber, Hildegard, and Clio become jealous of Sofia for the umpteenth time, and they wish to stop this relationship from happening? What will happen when they go too far? Sofia's best friend Prince Hugo has helped his older brother, Axel, make carabiners for the new woodshop club at his school. When Axel gives Hugo the extra carabiners, Sofia suggests Hugo start a Princely Adventure Club for the princes at Royal Prep...even if it means she won't be in it because she's a princess. While Hugo is busy with his new club, Sofia decides to start a princess club. When Amber insists they have a Lily Princess Club, everyone is thrilled...except Sofia. Sofia's birthday is coming, and Prince Hugo has made a special gift for her: a beautifully handmade music box that plays a song his grandmother used to sing. But Amber doesn't think Sofia will like it and insists Hugo give Sofia a "better" gift. After many failed ideas, Hugo insists on giving Sofia the music box. But during the surprise birthday party, Sofia really isn't happy because it's very extravagant, and she feels like nobody cares about her. Luckily, Sofia's amulet summons Princess Tiana, who teaches the kids (especially Hugo) that a true gift needs to come from one's own heart.

Freeing Princess Elena from the Amulet of Avalor was exciting enough for Sofia. But when Sofia and her family sleepover at Prince Hugo's palace, Princess Hildegard jealously tries so hard to upstage Sofia that her magical amulet pulls her inside! Sofia gets the amulet to choose Hugo to bear it and get her out. Hugo suggests the royals travel to Avalor, so he can travel to the Maruvian temple to release Sofia. But despite the procedure being performed correctly, the amulet won't release Sofia! It looks like Hugo needs another procedure to get her out, but what?

The two continued glaring at the door for a full 5 minutes before, they snapped out of their daze, Sofia first she looked at him, and a second later he looked at her, the second he saw her face he squinted his face out of disgust, she scowled at his childish action. She sighed as much as she hated this they had to get along somehow... ...."Last time I checked princess, you were the one who found out we were getting married first, I'm still trying to register this, you really think I would have an idea on what to do?" Hugo asks his voice rising slightly. What happens when enemies are forced to be together, will they manage to not kill each other or untold prophecy's change that fate?
