Debbie Foster (Stefanie Scott) is a 19 year old girl who has spent most of her life taking care of her little sister, Alison who is 14 (Shelley Henning). Debbie's family used to live in Tulsa, Oklahoma but moved when her father got a job offer in Texas. Debbie has always wanted to go to college since she graduated the year before. She never got the chance because her father lost his job and forced her to get a job to pay the bills and for his alcohol. Debbie finally has enough of her parents and leaves, taking Alison with her. She decides she wants to go home to Tulsa, so that's what she does. When they get into Tulsa and were getting close to Buck's (Debbie remembered it from before) her car breaks down on the side of the road. Luckily for her, it broke down in front of someone's house that she knew very well from high school.
