Set after the end of The Spares, this is a one-shot fanfiction of the amazing story crafted by @chooseitwisely in her books Just What I Needed and Band on the Run

At the ironic age of 27, Keely had never felt so alone. Her now ex-boyfriend Nick was long gone, fed up with her constant inner turmoil, she couldn't get a song written to save her life, and Jude hated her for trying to help, by telling her asshole ex to sod off. Nothing was going right, and just when she thought she'd lost all control, someone shows up to anchor her.

This one's set before the events of Band On The Run. The words just wouldn't stop coming and so I had to pen this down. Enjoy. Based on the work of @chooseitwisely.

There are moments where life really strikes you in the face, slaps you so hard that you almost fall over just from the sheer whiplash of it all.

Jude Turner has a problem. Actually, she has a few of concerning fame, alcohol, rivalries, lifestyle and hiatus. Yet - for the moment - her main affair is a solo album. With the band she'd joined at just fifteen years old going on a break, Jude is left wallowing for over a year until she decides to make that elusive solo album. But she goes one step further when she decides to go deep into the Californian desert to record at a legendary studio. When a musical rivalry as old as time is renewed with The Bends, a band cemented on the tumultuous relationship of Cam and Logan Harrison, she can't seem to find stable footing in this new solo world, let alone enough to stand her own against two obnoxiously arrogant brothers. It could be the album of a lifetime or the nightmare of hers. And Jude is finding that there's a very thin line that separates the two.
