The year is 1995. You're a twenty-six-year-old woman who went to school in Baltimore, Maryland a decade back. You had a few good friends. Especially Dog Day, Kickin Chicken and some others. Dog Day being the most reasonable friend of them all. They warn you about a certain guy that goes by Catnap after you develop a crush on him. But you heed the warnings. You end up winning Catnap over because he likes you too. He eventually disappears, making you sad. You did hear about disturbing events going on in your school, though. Ten years later, you stumble upon Catnap again. And let's just say he's still happy to see you. So happy... he won't let you go. (Y/N) Your Name. Catnap knew that he didn't belong in this ragtag happy bunch of friends they call the "Smiling Critters." Though he considers them all great friends, most of them still seem to think of him as too "scary and creepy." His words are often too intricate and confusing for anyone to really understand what he's trying to say. His face is mostly too "smiley" and freaks everyone out whenever they catch him in their sight. But above all else, he's too hard to approach. No one really knows what he's thinking. He's too mysterious. They don't know the first thing about him and his true intentions. ...But he was never trying to be part of any of those things. He would love to call them all his friends if they would let him. And yet, none of them are willing to try. Except for one. There only existed one other of the group he could reliably call his "friend." One quiet night, Catnap sits beside his best companion, Dogday. The two talk for a while until the feline says "I hope that one day, I'll be like the rest of you." Not expecting much out of the other through this one moment of weakness, Catnap sits in silence. He feels as though he shouldn't have said anything, until... "Why don't I help you?" The dog suggests. With his attention suddenly grabbed, he looks to the canine. Could his dream really come true that easily?

CraftyCorn the artist. PickyPiggy the chef. Bobby Bearhug the therapist. There has always been 3 boys and 4 girls. They always easily outvote the boys whenever they want to do something different. One day a construction crew appears in the neighborhood and builds a new house that resembles a scratching post for a cat. Then a moving truck comes and puts boxes in the home. It's been 3 weeks and no sign of the new addition to the neighborhood. Everyone is getting impatient especially DogDay. DogDay and CatNap had been friends since middle school. They are only moving on to the highschool era when the Smilling Critters started to fall apart. They lost contact with each other ... They miss each other ... Until a miracle happened ... DogDay and CatNap reunites with each other, as well as the gang revives! Dogday was quite excited, he never got the chance to go to public school, he wanted to hangout with people who don't brag about expensive stuff... - No I do not take recommendations for this book, unlike the "smiling critters skits (My AU)" book where most of the skits/chapters were recommendations.
