For hundreds of years, man has begun his advance through the stars, and he has learned that he is not alone. However, man is arrogant; he believes himself to be the strongest of all and his supremacy surely unchallenged.
For Philip, this has been proven to be so wrong. Imprisoned by an alien force within a prison ship thousands of lightyears away from Earth after being the sole survivor of an exploration ship, he has found this notion shattered forever. Alone and abandoned within a prison cell, he is now certain that his fate will be a slow death as a slave in the mines, and there was nothing he could do but wait for his miserable death.

A thousand years ago, a line of kings that ruled a great star-spanning alien nation with benevolence were snuffed out by a sickness in their blood, and an oppressive regime that bent the minds of its citizens took their place. All but the elite aristocrats and a select few others had the memory of the great kings of yore erased entirely, and the people have been rendered the regime's sheep. The hegemony that took the place of the kings has made the people believe that there was never a king to begin with.
Buraya knows this is false, for he is the last living descendant of that extinct dynasty, but if he was, what could he do anyway? He was stuffed inside a stasis pod, sleeping until the day that he was to be placed in chains and die with dishonour as a slave in the mines. What could he possibly do? Be freed from captivity and change the galaxy for good? Could he? Or, more properly...
Could they?
