He had obliterated everything. I was on the cusp of destroying the fold? I had stabbed him- and Mal. The rest fought around us, I had cried for his death the same as I had Mal's. The darkling grabbed my hand and stole my power, and then blinding light was everywhere but also darkness. I knew then that everyone I had loved and known, they were all gone. Dust. Taken down by the power they had thought would save them. The last thing I saw was the darkling using his own power to sew the fold back together. I thought where had it gone wrong? But then I realised everything had been going wrong since the moment he had laid eyes on me in his tent. And now everything would be going wrong the rest of my days because I was left with only him.
