Highschool AU. Cas is a straight A's student, but not your typical "nerd". He likes drawing and sitting at the back of the class. He has 1 friend, Charlie. He lives a tragic life, with her loving mom and sister dead after a car crash that happened years ago, brothers that hate each other, and a drunk father that hates both Gabriel and Castiel for being gay. Meanwhile, Dean has a similar story only a few know about. His mother, dead because of a fire, still haunts his dreams, making him feel guiltier, even though he didn't do anything. He was only four. He has a little brother, whom he protects from a drunk father. He blames Dean for his mothers' death, and beats him, when he's awake. Little they know, they're the love of their life.

Castiel Novak and his younger brother Gabriel have moved in with their sister after being kicked out of their mom's house for reasons Cas doesn't like to think about. In this new and unfamiliar town they meet Sam and Dean Winchester. The boys quickly become close friends, but how long will it take them to realize that what they have is stronger than just friendship?
