Extrovert meets Introvert

What was it that Lingling Kwong desired now that her acting career was taking off after the explosive popularity of The Secret Of Us? Fame? Money? Recognition? Sure, all of those things are lovely. But what could be lovelier than the milky-skinned, doe-eyed woman standing beside her, whose fingers interlaced with hers at every opportune moment? Well, Ling was about to discover that nothing, absolutely nothing, was lovelier than Orm Kornnaphat herself.

Orm Kornnaphat was trapped in an arranged marriage set up by her parents. Her father's company was in trouble, and the only one who came to the rescue was his old college friend - but on one condition: that Orm marry his only daughter. Her soon-to-be wife's name was Lingling Kwong, undeniably handsome - gorgeous. But... what made Orm even sadder was the fact that Lingling had Asperger's syndrome. Forced to break up with her girlfriend, barely graduated from college and already pushed into marriage - with a 'special' wife. Orm felt like rebelling, but she loved her parents too much. So she accepted it, even if she had to go through it all in tears.

During Channel 3's New Year Countdown live event, Ling expects the usual-laughter, games, and Orm right by her side, like always. But when the countdown begins and Ling finds herself alone, watching Orm wrapped around someone else, something shifts. A strange, unfamiliar tension coils inside her, something she refuses to name. It's not jealousy. It can't be. Yet, as the cheers erupt and the new year arrives, Ling realizes that for the first time, she and Orm aren't standing in the same place. BASED ON REAL EVENTS? ;)
