This story takes place a year after the war on both Earth and Cybertron is over and a year after Optimus Prime sacrificed himself for the future of Cybertron. Filled with guilt and sadness on Optimus' sacrifice, Wheeljack decided to go solo on the newly repaired Jackhammer that he, Bulkhead and Ultra Magnus managed to fix up. But during a scouting mission on an untapped Energon deposit which is on an unknown planet, he got more than he bargained for when a space bridge suddenly opened up and dragged him in while every fiber of his being was changed into a new and different species. Finding himself stuck in an unknown world with no way to communicate Cybertron or knowledge of where he is, he must rely for assistance on the natives of this world which are vikings and... are those dragons?! Looks like Wheeljack is in for a ride of a lifetime once meeting a young scrawny human teen who can surprisingly understand him.

While Wheeljack was out searching for members of his old Wrecker crew he stumbles upon a distress signal of disturbing origins. "This is -kzzt- of Vos, we are -kzzt- attack by -kzzt-! If anyone can -kzzt- me, please send help! Oh Primus! NO PLEASE! -Kzzzzzzzzzt-" When he tracks down the signal he finds a barely conscious seeker within a deralict prison frieghter, his body covered with various torture wounds. Well, besides everything, her father could punish or kill her if he knew about her visits to the Autobots. If WheelJack ever turned his back on her she'd be devastated . . . and then there's Blade, who risked her own neck to help Vapor out and is staying on Nemesis of her own free will. Things just get better every day.
