**COMPLETE!!!** Two warring countries, a hidden nation, and the power to control them all. 341 years into the Universal Millennium, Pangea is the newest colony world. Young and exotic, it is a planet of paradise. But all paradises have a flaw. Pangea's is the twenty-year-old war that has been going on between the planet's two Earthian countries, Sylva and Distonia. Also, unbeknownst to the colonists, there is an entire nation of Pangean natives living underneath the peaceful waters of the Great Ocean. The natives' lives revolve around an ancient portal called Xuhgea, which bridges the interstellar gap between Pangea and Earth without warp technology. Fifteen-year-old Jessica Lewis is a Pangean, and has been training to be a spy for Sylva for eight long years, and is determined to prove her worth. Sixteen-year-old Claire Railstone is an Earthling living with the natives, and, thanks to the portal, is forever stuck with people who resent her entire race. However, there is someone out there, who is willing to kidnap, steal, and kill to possess the infinite power of the portal. Despite centuries-old prejudices, Xuhgea's only hope may rest with Claire and Jessica. But it might already be too late.

Humans were supposed to be cowards. The Galactic Federation's species registry had them listed as a 2 of 16 on the aggression index. Our interactions with the Terran Union up until this point supported those conclusions. They had not fought any wars among themselves in centuries, and had formed a unified world government prior to achieving FTL travel. They had responded with eagerness rather than hostility to first contact, unlike many species.

Based off of a ton of Tumbir posts and fanfics about "Humans are space orcs" and "Earth is space australlia". Set in the voltron universe, Allura, Coran, the Galrans all see that they really did underestimate humans- they can be utterly terrifying at times. *Ok, Lance is the foucus of some (read: a ton) of chapters, since I love him.

Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story. Captain Rolland Barron leads the Sol Federation Starship Excalibur on a diplomatic mission. Cassia LaCroix is a wormhole hunter, earning a living scouring the galaxy for valuable tunnels through space-time. Prince Zoojin, a psychic alien from a distant galaxy, must prove himself worthy of the throne of Paxis Prime. The paths of these characters converge as they pursue their own motives, leading them towards the mechanical legion that is sweeping across the galaxy.
