Nari froze. His face was close now. Too close.
"You keep pretending I'm not here," he said, low, right by her ear, "but here you are... reacting."
Her chest rose sharply, and her breath stuck halfway. He stepped even closer, and she couldn't move. His curls brushed against her cheek, and his body heat poured over her spine like it had massive weight.
