It was pity that first made Dannie speak to him. This story takes place many years into the future; gas is gone, most of society has died off, and many people rebel against the government. Maya, Kenzie, and Atreyu all search for Kenzie's parents who have been kidnapped by the NCD. All the while Eric is using them to try to find their village to destroy it, influenced by his maniacal bipolar father Damien Brahm. This is a story about the search for family, destruction, love, and friendship.
