Rewrite Note: [At present I am rewriting the book with a planned release of the redone chapters starting in July! Originally thought I'd just clean up the chapters but decided instead to change up the story lines and make things better connect to book 2] So major plot changes will occur to what was read in draft 1 originally posted last year! A new opportunity to live his "best" life. At least, that's how Vincent was sold on the idea. Thing is, the condo's sort of haunted... by the ghost of a brutal killer known as the Hammer Man. For most, this would be a deal breaker. Well, not for Vincent. He's four years into his "career" and lives for hunts like this. It's a simple enough job: Go in, find the ghost, make it pay for the crimes it committed decades ago and deliver damnation in the way he knows best, punishment based around the target's sins. Will this job just be an easy, open, close case or will this hunt start him down the path of unraveling crimes of decades past, all while meddling in the affairs of the creatures around his new home?

"Do you know that stars die?" I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came to mind. "Yeah," he answered. "And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they're truly dead." We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from - they hunted us, and killed our hopes. The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made me helpless under its grasp. Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile. DISCLAIMER: This novella primarily contains gay romance. Read at your own risk.

June Anderson, a typical straight young man who pays taxes regularly, has a secret. He loves reading Boys Love, or BL for short. One day, when he was ready to sleep, he somehow transmigrated into the R18 BL novel he loves, 'You Are My Fated One.' The problem is, he was not the male lead's love interest, but the female mob boss, and a childhood friend of the protagonist's villainess, Emelia Roosevelt. Screw fate, destiny, or the ending of the novel! He prefers to choose his happiness and survival than follow the flow of the original novel, and it is worth dying for. After all, chasing after his bias was his dream come true.
