With nothing left to lose, he gathers Taylor Hawkins and Nate Mendel and does the unthinkable: he moves back to Virginia and buys a house to build a studio in. Meanwhile in quiet, dull Virginia, Landry Clarke is stuck. The band she plays bass for is failing, and the woman on lead vocals is nothing short of evil. Her parents don't speak to her. Her childhood best friend is grappling with addiction and could die at any moment. A gifted songwriter, she's afraid to share her lyrics with the people that matter.
