--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dharma was the cloth I held closest. I was draped in dharma. No one could ever take that from me. No amount of pulling and tugging had done that. Even in the depths of despair I had held on to it like a last cloth. I had dedicated my life to dharma. Dharma and Draupadi would be forever synonymous. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The daughter of Draupad, The wife of the Pandavas, The sakhi of Shri Krishna , The emperess of Indhraprastha , The queen of Mahabharatha

A pair of eyes that had power to destroy, yet cared for others first before personal target. A chariot that never touched mortality, yet sank on earth to save the mortals. An irony of being enemy-less, despite of having hundreds of enemies. The Scion of Dharma. The steadfastness in battles of life. The ruler who was chosen by God himself. This is his story. " Yadi aapki patni aapse kuch mange , toh aap denge Aarya? Mana toh nahi karenge na?" Her sweet melodious voice made his heart flutter like a young, naive teenager, not the calm man who had gained absolute control on his emotions. There was an almost awkward silence for a moment in the room that had been so beautifully decorated for their wedding night, before he spoke. It seemed he had nearly lost his voice, for it took far too much effort to speak up. " Mana toh nahi karunga, kintu de bhi kya sakta hoon...swayam ko praapt hui bhiksha ke atirikt..." His lashes were lowered, & he looked so sad that her heart clenched. He looked on in mild surprise when she lifted his hand where it was resting in his lap. She held his large, masculine, work-worn calloused palms in her soft, delicate ones. He nearly stopped breathing when her rosebud lips pressing sweet kisses against the skin in the centre of his open palm. Blood rushed to his cheeks, causing them to turn a rare shade of crimson much like hers.No woman had touched him like this before. " Uski koi avashyakta nahi hai, Aarya. Mere liye toh aapke hriday mein ek chota sa sthaan aur apna samast jeevan aapke saath bitaane ka avsar hi pariyapt hai." She told at him with a smile which sent his heart thundering , while she lost herself in the depth of those pools of molten copper. This beautiful cover for the story is created by my dear sakhi @Yudhiiwrites 🌹❣️ ********* I have always wondered, What if Draupadi chose Yudhishthir in her Swayamvar? That says it all....😉

This tale narrates the passionate love story of two eternal lovers: mature, calm on the outside with a fire of determination within their beings. Set against the backdrop of a patriarchal society. A woman bears the brunt of all misgivings, wether or not it is her fault. A marriage is the union of two souls, who of their free will promise to love, cherish & respect each other for life. However, what is the fate of a marriage that is solely for namesake, only to preserve the honour of a woman, her reputation? Princess Draupadi is the youngest princess of the powerful kingdom of Panchal, & has the best of all the luxuries of a princess, except for the one thing she craves for: Love. Rejected & belittled by her own twin & father, Panchaali, who is the most beautiful woman of her time, prophesied to change the destiny of Aaryavart looses faith in life & sets off to end it. Panduputra Yudhishthir, the eldest Kuru prince & Pandava, rescues her, & as fate decides, marries her. Can he heal his wife, showing her what it is to be loved & cherished beyond measure? Can he help her manifest into the strong, bold beauty that is Yagyaseni, the future empress of Aaryavart who is born to end Adharma? Read on to know as they explore life together, as each other's support system & together accomplish the journey to becoming the greatest Samraat- Samragyi of all times. NOTE: While, there will not be any graphic content included here, the story does revolve around a mature theme that deals with the patriarchal idealogy of women being objects only meant to serve & please men. ******* Hey all! I'm here with a new book! Note: This story is inspired & has the characters from the masterpiece that is Mahabharat but not all plots match the epic. I have no intention of dishonouring any of the characters of the original great epic. This is but a peice of fiction meant for enjoyment. The credit of this stunningly beautiful banner goes to my dear sakhi @Yudhiiwrites😘
