Boredom seeps in this very game the Spectre plays god, and with unwarranted freedom given to an entity-a being of code-that craves power through torment, they mock their victims with a patch update: "Welcome to the next stage of the game." "A dating simulation. With a side of death." "One of you has been cast as the protagonist-the heartthrob of this hellhole. The rest of you? Suitors. Rivals. Background extras. Play your parts well." "Win the protagonist's affection. Compete for his attention. At the end of this trial, the protagonist will have to choose someone. And only then will he and his chosen partner leave this place." "Shelly Fossilian", that was her name. She was a toon created by one of the founders of the world-famous show "Dandy's World" and the educational center, Gardenview. She was a main character with a passion and specialty for archaeology and paleontology, and as a main character she had a theme revolving around dinosaurs and other prehistoric life. Despite her wonderful role and subject, Shelly was far less as popular as the other main characters. Many of the visitors of Gardenview ignored her, her creators began to push her aside, and even her own friends began to grow distant away from her. It seemed like almost everyone around her was blatantly ignoring her. Shelly was deeply hurt by this, she was upset. Although with that, Shelly tried to be as optimistic as possible even whilst having her sorrow. Then, a nightmarish being from within the roots of her mind had appeared. The nightmare told her hurtful but truthful words, and to do things that she wouldn't ever want to. Shelly tried to resist. But the more she was ignored, the more she understood what the nightmare had said. The combination of the blatant ignorance of her existence and the dark force within her mind had started to enrage and break her, slowly turning her for the absolute worst . . . Now, the once friendly Toon is slowly nearing to the breaking point of something monstrous, potentially bringing danger and wrath to all of Gardenview..
