Y/N was just a normal kid, wanting to make friends at playcare, but no one wants to play and be friends with him, except for a kid named trinity grambell, who mysteriously disappeared. However, the smiling critters took notice if this and tried to be best friends that y/n could asked for to make him smile and be happy for them. but then, before the hour of joy happened in playtime Co., y/n was placed inside a cryogenic chamber in one the labs and was soon woken after a long time, finding himself trapped inside the factory that left to rot skd abandoned since the your of joy and y/n is left all alone to find a way out of the factory alive before he becomes a toys next victim. that is, if the toys really want to harm harm a poor, defenseless child like y/n as they seemed to want have y/n back in their lives and smother him with love, including the smiling critters that don't want y/n to leave and want him to be loved and make him smile once again. As some the smiling critters might start to...fall in love with him.

Dogday, and the other critters, however, disagree with his beliefs. The cat punished them according. Dogday in particular took the brunt of said punishment, as Catnap nearly manages to kill him. Until something mysterious happens once Catnap uses his signature poppy gas. He finds himself falling unconcious to the poppy gas himself, as Dogday wakes up in a new, yet familiar world.

Stories about the little sun dog and moon cat because they are my current otp. (I'm only gonna say this once. these are the CARTOON versions of catnap and Dogday and NOT the in-game toy monsters. So if anyone comments "they're dead children" I'm gonna block you.) Also I might have some other smiling critter ships every now and then, I will mention them if so Also in all these stories catnap is selectively mute and uses asl, so most of his lines will have 'these'. CatNap is the most recent addition to the smiling critters and has a little trouble with his voice box, meaning he can't talk properly. When CatNap first gets introduced to the others everyone has an emident dislike for CatNap even the leader of the group, DogDay. doesn't like CatNap but after being forced into spending a night at CatNaps house something changes in DogDay.
