Twenty-two-year-old Cornelio Raymond felt like his life had stalled before it had even begun. Six months after graduating from college, he was still spending every day working at his uncle's restaurant, trapped in the same routine and desperate for something, anything, to change. So when he jokingly asked the universe for a sign, he never expected it to answer in the form of Ian Hammer. At twenty-one, Ian was homeless, guarded, and used to surviving alone. Accepting help from a stranger went against every instinct he had, but with a storm rolling in and nowhere else to go, he reluctantly agreed to stay at Cornelio's apartment for a few nights. It was meant to be a simple, short-term arrangement until something neither of them expected got involved: feelings.

NEW VERSION IS PUBLISHED "He squints his eyes at me with an intense glare that makes me squirm. I don't know if it's the intense pain in my shoulder or his stare, but something sends a shiver down my spine. I have now extended to my full height and look up to realize this guy is towering over me, not looking too happy. I become aware of our close proximity and take a step back, averting my eyes from his intense gaze. I clear my throat and fumble with the edge of my apron, looking down as I say, 'Sorry 'bout that.' I hear no response. I wait a moment, then I look up and he's gone." Spencer Hastings knows one thing for sure: he hates Jack Summers. Everything about him. He hates his rude manners, his intense stare, his restless movements. But he just can't lay a finger on why Jack Summers unnerves him so much. Until now. When Isaac Tissera accidentally becomes the target of the most popular girl in school, escaping her attention without destroying his social life seems impossible. Until Nate Bedford offers him a solution: Pretend they're dating. Nate is confident, popular, frustratingly attractive, but worst of all, his older brother's best friend- meaning fake dating him should be a complete disaster. Instead, it works ridiculously well. As rumours spread through school and their fake relationship becomes more convincing by the day, Isaac finds himself caught between what everyone else believes and what he's trying very hard not to feel. But the closer he gets to Nate, the more obvious it becomes that maybe Nate has been keeping some things that Isaac should've known about... And when the truth finally comes out, it threatens to destroy both of them.

Stubbornly agreeing to play goaltender for his rival team, Morgan is forced to be puck buddies with his irritating new captain, the player who left him with an injury. He doesn't expect to fall for the one person he'd rather keep hating. 🏒🏒🏒 Morgan Raleigh could have been a legendary golden boy goalie, but returning from an extended career hiatus leaves him so desperate to prove himself in hockey again that he agrees to play for his former rivals, where Scott Brooks, the infuriatingly cocky player who injured him, is his captain. After a messy breakup, Scott has no choice but to share a room with Morgan, who he blames for the bad press that ruined his relationship. As petty as it may be, the only way he can possibly spend a year pretending to play nice with his rival is through passionate arguments, competitions behind the scenes... and casual hookups where Morgan pretends his goal is the pain relief, and Scott tells himself he only needs the release. But the longer they spend as teammates, the more Morgan's fun side opens up Scott's emotional walls, and the more Morgan questions his sexuality. With the past heavy between them, Morgan must reconcile his desire to return to his old team with his confusing feelings for the person who destroyed him the most. Content Warning: Brief portrayals of paranoia and mental illness (OCD) and addiction behaviour as well as discussions of religious trauma. Please use discretion while reading.
