During the battle, in this universe, some mortal didn't fall asleep by sheer chance- maybe they were an undiscovered demigod- but they managed to get a picture of Percy swinging from the Clazmonian Sow. Then they posted it on their blog and the picture went viral. Now, he has a pirate (aka. Fury) and the Avengers, including their newest recruit, Spiderman, on his tail.
