Since the woman had passed away, that left nobody looking for the girl, other than Athena. With nobody left, that meant the girl had no family to go to once she was released. Not only did Athena need answers as to what happened to the girl eight years ago, as well as what happened all the years she was away, but she also had to give the girl a place to stay.
