"Do you have any evidence to proof your every words?" MC bolded with a question. "Evidence, really? Do we care about it? In the world of Corruptions, only Money talks. And you want proof?" taking a deep breath, he continued "Okay, I am here, a Proof. Sometimes innocent ones can be too dangerous for the society. Just need to find out" he got up from his seat and made his steps outside the hall. ------------- "Do you still want to involve yourself?" a panicked voice asked him. "I have come so far, no way to turn back." he answered firmly. "You have your little sister and brother. Do you want to risk them? And am I not your priority?" holding his hand on hers. "My great priority but if I nodded for this priority, it will cost so much to pay off. -Blood, threats, finally death." her heart was beating like a bullet train leading her to gasp on his words. "To get a acceptable society we need to root up these corruptions to let our baby can born in the safe world" he smiled, resting his hand on her cheeks. With a soft touch of his, she closed her eyes and her eyes filled with tears, ready to fall anytime and as she opened her eyes, she said "And then our baby will be proud of it that his dad wasn't a coward like others. A real super hero for the country and society." He nodded swiftly and leave a peck on her shoulder, hugging her tight. After coming out of hug, he signalled shaking his head, signalling not to cry. She nodded and held back her brimful of tears. He continued "Don't worry, your man will return, only for YOU" he started stepping back. She nodded with a tear and smile. He turned, picked up his luggages and move on, vanished in the dark without turning back for once. (Under Editing) Anthony x Dianne ___________________________________________ He chased after her, breathless-yet smiling-his footsteps splashing against the rain-soaked ground. She slowed, just enough. Just enough for him to catch her. His arms slipped around her waist, pulling her back against his chest. Warm. Steady. Certain. Dianne didn't resist. No protest. No hesitation. "You're running from me, love?" he murmured, his voice low, brushing against her ear. His breath was warm despite the cold rain, his words grazing her skin like a quiet promise. Rain traced slow paths down her neck, her pale emerald dress clinging softly to her frame. "What do you think?" she whispered, turning in his hold until she faced him-so close their breaths tangled. Anthony's gaze dropped to her lips, then lifted back to her eyes, something unreadable flickering there. "You wanted me to catch you." It wasn't a question. Dianne's heartbeat stuttered, but her lips curved anyway. "And if I did?" His hold tightened-just slightly. "Then don't run too far next time," he said, softer now. "I might not let you go at all." For a moment, the world disappeared. Only the rain remained. Only him. Only her. And the space between them-barely there, yet filled with everything they weren't saying. ____________________________________________ ☆ Opposite Attracts ☆ Grumpy yet to be Sunshine ☆ High School Love
