It was dark. Her body floated in the still reverie of ebony like being tucked under the wing of a crow. Far from saving, far from being sucked from the thick surrounding she now floated through. Weak, yet still having the strength to think, opened her eyes, realizing that it was so simple to escape darkness that seemed to be eternal. Her brain was functioning but her mind was cast into a void with countless questions overwhelming her. They buzzed in her mind, like thousands of eager bees swarming in a rush to find a flower to rest upon.
She seemed to be hovering through a universe. So detailed, so complex was the distant blackness. Like secrets, she thought, seeming so plain only to sift aside the curtains and delve a bit deeper, you would find something magnificent. That thought produced an action. She reached out to the seemingly endless sky, then feeling the soft, furry texture of a velvet curtain. She ripped the cloth down to reveal the sky. So this was death, peaceful death...
