Res is a planet orbiting a dwarf star. Due to how close the planet is to the it is tidally locked. The guardian program is very important in this world. It is a program that trains kids to go to different planets and protect the life there.

One a planet named Res, a young Mavor is the only one born without powers. This has caused her to be somewhat of an outcast and a genetic marvel. In Res joining the military is everything but without a power, Vitrea would never get to join.

This society is built around the idea of acceptance. If you are not 'accepted' by society then you are not given privileges afforded to those that are. People who reject society are rejected by society.

Storm Coast academy is the most prestigious school in the country. Getting acceptance into the school is very difficult but staying in the school is harder. The school strives for nothing less than excellence. To ensure their student is always improving, they make the students met a goal everyday.

A meteorite struck the earth causing major destruction in the surrounding area. It started to emit a radiation that manipulated the life around it. This caused most life on the planet to die. The ones that did survive were mutated. Some more then others.
