Dr. Jack Abbot, the older, brooding, night shift attending had taken a liking to Penelope immediately, though opposite shifts kept them at a safe distance. That is until she switches to night shift for her last year as a resident. The two "Dark Clouds" of the PTMC were nearly the exact same person. Having both served, with the baggage and scars to prove it, there was an immediate attraction. Meeting someone so alike, who could understand everything no one else could, resulted in both butting heads and crossing professional boundaries. As the two navigate their complicated and frustrating feelings, they're forced to acknowledge parts of themselves they never wanted to. This will be a slow burn and long - i'm unsure about how many chapters as yet! Discussions of suicide, OCD, self harm, eating disorders and trauma/mental health. There will be sexual elements and in depth discussion of a power play relationship but i think i will avoid the super graphic sexual situations and only allude to them.
