Ellie Robinavitch grew up in the emergency room-doing homework at the nurses' station, learning which alarms mattered, and watching her dad hold the chaos together like it was second nature. She thought he was untouchable. But over time, something started to shift. Not enough to name. Not enough to stop. Just small moments-missed sleep, shorter answers, a heaviness that seemed to follow him home. The kind of unraveling that happens quietly. The kind you don't realize you're watching until you're already in the middle of it. Now, as Ellie is pulled deeper into the world she thought she understood, she's left trying to figure out where the line is- between holding it together... and losing yourself completely.

Dr. Penelope Henry wasn't new to the PTMC, but this "situationship" as Princess called it, was new. Dr. Jack Abbot, the older, brooding, night shift attending had taken a liking to Penelope immediately, though opposite shifts kept them at a safe distance. That is until she switches to night shift for her last year as a resident. The two "Dark Clouds" of the PTMC were nearly the exact same person. Having both served, with the baggage and scars to prove it, there was an immediate attraction. Meeting someone so alike, who could understand everything no one else could, resulted in both butting heads and crossing professional boundaries. As the two navigate their complicated and frustrating feelings, they're forced to acknowledge parts of themselves they never wanted to. Hiii this is my first time writing a fic so please be nice but feel free to leave suggestions! Also, please don't expect medical accuracy in this story. My only medical background is an intense search history.

Completing your residency at Chicago Northwestern Memorial, had always been your dream but after your brothers suicide, a transfer to Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Centre to complete your forth year of residency was your escape, a chance to feel safe again. You are tenacious, fast paced, efficient and unshakeable but you can only stop the cracks from showing for so long before something has to give. You keep your cards close to your chest but finding real friends and real support slowly gives you the space you need to allow yourself to feel human again. But Dr Jack Abbot complicates things, a man who has become an expert at hiding his own insecurities, but can see straight through yours. This will be a slow burn and long - i'm unsure about how many chapters as yet! Discussions of suicide, OCD, self harm, eating disorders and trauma/mental health. There will be sexual elements and in depth discussion of a power play relationship but i think i will avoid the super graphic sexual situations and only allude to them. I've never published anything I've written before so I hope you enjoy! I had already written a lot of this so parts will come up quickly as I edit and post here! Feel free to suggest any routes you'd like the characters to take and i will see what i can do!

When Dr. Daniella Vale leaves behind the sun-soaked life she once shared with her unfaithful husband, she trades California warmth for Pittsburgh steel. Determined, brilliant, and newly free, she steps into The Pitt-one of the busiest trauma centers in the country-with a single promise to herself: never shrink again. What she doesn't expect is him. Dr. Jack Abbot is a legend in trauma surgery-cold, relentless, impossible to impress, and infamous for keeping the world at arm's length. Fellows fear him. Nurses respect him. Residents avoid him. But when Daniella arrives with sharp skill and a quiet fire in her eyes, the man who has forgotten how to feel finds himself... noticing. She's sunshine with edges. He's winter with a heartbeat. Thrown together in a world where every second matters, Daniella becomes the only person capable of softening Jack's defenses-and the one woman he knows he shouldn't want. She's younger, freshly healed, and far too bright for a man who's convinced his heart is past saving. But in The Pitt, where life and death collide, even steel can bend. And sometimes, the coldest hearts warm first.

Camryn Wells wasn't trying to rebuild her life so much as outrun the version of it that nearly destroyed her. After a year and a half off the grid, nursing wounds no one could see and some that still ached like hell, she's back in Pittsburgh. Sort of. She's here for Gwen, the woman who adopted her, who's now fading into early-onset dementia. She's on night shift, working trauma at PTMC, trying to remember the nurse she used to be-and to convince her small army of overprotective siblings that she's fine now. That she's not the broken girl they saw in that hospital bed in Boston. Camryn is sunshine incarnate: bright-eyed, too kind, stubbornly hopeful, and despite everything, still believes in second chances. What she didn't plan on? Her new next-door neighbor just happens to be the gruff, quiet, unflinchingly calm ED attending who runs her shift with surgical precision... and dry quips that cut sharper than a scalpel. Dr. Jack Abbot doesn't do distractions. Not from interns. Not from administration. And definitely not from the impossibly cheerful nurse who crash-landed into his backyard and, somehow, into his life. Guarded, fiercely competent, and more at ease in chaos than comfort, Jack prefers solitude-until Camryn. With her pastel mugs, man-hating cat, and maddening habit of calling him out with a smile, she worms her way into every corner of his neatly boxed-off world. She's not what he expected. And he's exactly what she wasn't ready for. But on the night shift, where everything broken comes through the door eventually, maybe they'll both learn healing doesn't always look like what you thought.
