This story is available on Radish. (Link/Info in my profile) Every single year, every unmated wolf travels to the small town of Westwick, Utah, a designated no man's land within the numerous packs of the United States... the home of the highly anticipated Westwick Ball. A large gathering of werewolves solely designed to aid in the effort of finding a mate. Every year, hundreds of werewolves end their night in their mate's arms. What will this year bring? {}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{} Lana Nicole Mercier is human. Or so she thinks. Under questionable circumstances, she leaves her perfectly cozy college life for the holidays in order to meet the absentee father she never in her life put much thought into. He pulls her into a supernatural world filled standards and traditions for women... or as they say, she-wolves. Lana Nicole, however, has never been one to conform or submit to anyone's standards. At least until HE catches a glimpse of her. River Miguel Carson, one of the Ten Grand Alphas, was born and raised to be the ruthless leader of a pack. Despite his many accomplishments, female conquests, and feral public image... River has always been a man of tradition whom above all desires the one thing that has alluded him for twenty-three years: his perfect little mate. A pretty little thing that he was raised to protect, pamper, and rule over. Little did he know what fate had in store for him at the Westwick Ball.

I was just minding my own business, painting the walls outside the high school I went to, with spray paint. Okay maybe it's called graffiti, but I don't care. Either way, the cops came at the worst time, and I did what any rational person would do. I ran to the parking lot, broke into the only car in the lot, and sped out of there as fast as I could. Only problem was, I didn't realize there was someone sleeping in the back seat. • Damien Asher is the most feared Gang Leader to the Asher Noir Gang, so when he wakes up to someone driving his car like a madman, he was to kill them. That's until he notices it's a beautiful girl covered in paint, well that and the fact the cops are currently chasing them. Smells of the country wafted threw the air, filling her lung with its pungent sweet smell. She licked her lips, making them moist once more. The bare toes of her feet cracked against the black tar, ripped jeans soaked in spots of blood clung to long legs that if weren’t covered would show a light summer tan. Her hair was once tied in a tight ponytail, now blew in the oncoming wind she made as she pushed faster. A white tank top stain in his blood started to smell of decay, it twisted her stomach into a knot. Sounds of sirens filled the night sky, her heart leapt back into her throat once more. Breath lightly fogged reminding her winter was soon approaching. Their singing screams grew closer, even with her pace she wasn’t going to make it. Tears started to form at the thought of being brought back to that house, the house of pain, torment and her cursed life. All brought down by one man. One man with enough power to kill her and get away without a scratch, he had so many powerful men in the palm of his hand it was sickening.

There was a time when monsters stayed hidden in the shadows, and humans went about their lives, blissfully unaware of what was lurking in the dark. But those days are long gone. The creatures from fairy tales and nightmares are done hiding-they're done letting humans call the shots. Now, there's a war tearing the world apart, and Delta Hart can do nothing but watch and hope she survives. Separated from her family during the chaotic evacuation of Seattle, Delta finds herself swept up in the panic. Thousands of people flood the streets, desperate to escape, but she doesn't make it. She's caught, shoved onto a bus with a group of other terrified captives, and taken who-knows-where. Deep down, she knows the truth-this might be the last time she ever sees her family. The bus eventually stops, and Delta is dragged into a cold, eerie facility, run by the kind of monster she used to think only existed in stories. A vampire. He doesn't waste time; she's thrown into an automated cell like a piece of luggage, the heavy door slamming shut behind her. That's when she realizes just how screwed she is. She's not alone in the cell. Inside, there's a vampire-a starving one. He's been locked up for weeks, maybe longer, and she can see the hunger in his eyes. It's only a matter of time before he decides her blood is too good to pass up. Delta has two choices: Survive in damnation with a monster - or pay the consequences for the mistakes of the entire human race. Unedited Version.
