* 4 Sample Chapters * When an eccentric old neighbour dies and names Violet March in his will, she is even more surprised than his estranged and spoiled family. To make matters stranger, she learns that all must attend a pretend murder-mystery weekend for any to claim a share of the inheritance. Being a good sport under constant scrutiny and suspicion becomes trickier when she finds herself torn between the romantic attentions of both the deceased's "favourite" grand-nephew and the charming black sheep of the family. Loyalty forces her to favour the former, but when it is the latter who inherits the bulk of the estate, a grave case of mistaken identities is revealed leaving Violet to determine whether pride and an unwillingness to be labelled a gold-digger may stand in the way of the love of a lifetime. *Cover from "Lake Louise, An Alpine Wonderland" by Norman Fraser, which is to the best of my research and knowledge in the Public Domain. *No part of this book may be reproduced or used in any manner without the express written permission of the author.

“Don’t say it, don’t ask it, I wouldn’t be able to say no,” he whispered, his voice full of desire. “I can’t…we can’t…not yet, not now.” He lifted my chin slowly with his finger again. His eyes almost pleaded with mine to ask him and not ask him in, but the smart logical thing to do would be to wait - not complicate this even more. Not while there was still risk involved. * Sonja Winters has finally been able to start picking up the broken pieces of her personal life with the help of therapy after leaving an abusive ex. My grandmother died and left the family fortune to me. No one else. Just me, her favorite grand-daughter. Yeah. That ruffled some feathers, which I would be fine with, if only it hadn't painted a target the size of Texas Road House on my back. Until my next birthday, if I "accidentaly" die for any reason, the fortune will be divided equeally between all of the relatives that got stuck with a big fat nothing. So yeah, they are all trying to kill me. I mean, who wouldn't? They've got billions of reasons to see me croak. I've got nowhere to go, and I can't trust any one I used to know. There is this guy that I think can help me out, Chester, but we don't exactly get off on the right foot when we meet. He's incredibly connected and has agreed to help keep me alive, for a fee. He's so incredibly guarded and secretive that I just want to crack him open and see what's inside that stiff suit of his. So anyway, the goal is to keep me alive for the next three months. I think I'm kind of more than he'd bargained for, but we'll see.

River, a wandering free spirit (some would say homeless but that's beside the point) is at a low point in her life when a mysterious stranger offers her a way out. Play a game. Sounds fun, right? Do what the dares say and get paid. The rewards only get bigger and despite the nagging feeling that they're leading her down a slippery slope, what sane person would stop? Enter the Tin Man. Definitely chosen out of necessity and not for his personality, he's the Yang to every Yin in the universe. He'd rather stab someone than hold a conversation. Manners aren't his forte and yet his popularity is mind boggling. They weren't supposed to stick together, but crashing an airplane in the Amazon rain forest has a way of bringing people closer and maybe they aren't as bad of a team as they thought. Now available for purchase on Amazon.com, but most of the chapter are still here on wattpad for you to read! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08743X2Z5
