After a terrible tragedy that Grian blames himself for, he joins the Tournament for Death's mercy in an attempt to win the prize of a loved one brought back from the dead. During the first segment of the Tournament, he teams up with another contestant, one calling himself the Wizard. They can't seem to stop running into each other, and Grian tries his best to distance himself, knowing that only one of them can win, but that's much harder than it seems.

Grian works alone. And his fellow "hermits" know that. Once he messed up one of labs that put some experiments on living creatures, but he didn't expect to get a clingy hybrid companion after that.
