James Lakeland arrives in Scotland on holiday, hoping for some rest and relaxation after a year spent in phisical rehab after the brutal assault that almost claimed his life. The last thing he expected was to find in the waters of Loch Ness was a mermaid... This is the first two chapters of a two part novel that I intend for phisical publication. (Hopefully.) The story is set in both 18th century and modern day Scotland and takes a more sci-fi look at traditional myths. Feedback on writing style and opinions on whether or not a publisher would be interested in reading more of the manuscript based on this teaser are welcome. I have never written an official book before - only fanfic - so advice is much appreciated.
