People are afraid of her and her capabilities, so they avoid approaching her. John Murphy is not included in that, though. Both of them are the outsiders, the unwanted. While I'm not Japanese and haven't had the opportunity to visit Japan yet, I want to understand its culture as I write my story. I apologize in advance if I inadvertently misrepresent any aspect of Japanese culture. My affection for Japan motivates me to set the story there, I do watch anime so I hope I can get some aspects right :)
