"I don't kneel for anyone-but I'd kneel for you." Behind the Badge is a gritty, slow-burn romance about two women bound by a shared past and an uncertain future. Zaya Morales, a former gang member rebuilding her life after prison, wants nothing more than peace and distance from everything she left behind. Kamala Harris, a high-profile figure in law enforcement, has spent her career chasing justice-and once played a role in locking Zaya away. But when a string of targeted killings pulls them back into each other's orbit, desire and distrust begin to blur. As secrets unravel and lines are crossed, Kamala and Zaya are forced to confront not just the danger closing in-but the undeniable pull between them. Tense, emotional, and full of fire, Behind the Badge is a story about second chances, forbidden love, and what happens when you fall for the last person you were supposed to.

Book 3! Y'all can thank Princess (@Istillwrite) for this. She's been nagging me, making sure y'all get ALL the chapters. Cause I've been ready to fire the last of these chapters off in Book 2. Now don't get too excited! This is more organizational than me coming back to write. Everything is already written she just has to publish when I give the go ahead.

Sergeant Zora Bennett has spent 12 years in the Army, honing her skills in combat and discipline. But nothing could prepare her for her latest assignment: serving as the personal protective agent for Vice President Kamala Harris, who has just become the first female President of the United States. While navigating a relentless wave of threats and political tension, Zora finds herself drawn to Kamala's warmth, resilience, and unwavering determination. As the line between duty and personal connection blurs, Zora must confront not only external dangers but also the unexpected emotions stirring within her. In a world where every move is scrutinized, protecting the President may prove less challenging than guarding her own heart. I want to say this is all completely made up and I am just writing this for fun. I hope you enjoy.

"Of course, Senator Harris. I'm ready for anything you put on me." Kamala's eyebrow arches, and I realize too late how that might sound. My cheeks burn, and I fight the urge to fan myself. "Good," she says, her tone rich with amusement and something darker. "Because I plan on working you very hard when we get back to the office." The car slows to a stop, and I realize we've arrived at my apartment building. As I gather my things, my hands trembling slightly, Kamala's final words follow me out of the car: "Rest up this weekend. You're going to need it."
