In the realm of Aegia, everyone has one chance to rise. Upon reaching adolescence, citizens of Aegia can choose to enroll in one of the Academies, where they can be taught the ancient texts, history of the realm, and the runes that priests use to commune with the gods. At the end of their time at the Academy, they face a series of tests to be sorted into two social classes: 𝗔𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀, the elite rulers, advance to the top positions in their field, deciding what is built, what is destroyed, where taxes go...and who lives and dies. And 𝘀𝘆𝗹𝗿𝗮, the servants bound by magic to their Aelaris. Seen as little more than an appendage and status symbol, they spend their days following their Aelaris and living for their demands, completely devoted and content in their role. The bond is considered sacred. It prevents the Aelaris from ever harming their sylra while ensuring the sylra is happy to serve. The Rite of Ascension determines who belongs where, a process that measures worth and potential, through the power of the gods. Rian Argon-son has always believed he was destined to join the ranks of the Aelaris, working tirelessly to prove himself worthy. Meanwhile his nemesis Ileana, born into wealth and privilege, has always seen herself as a true heir to power. Their rivalry has simmered in all their time at the Academy, and now the final testing is upon them. They may be both top of the class, but ultimately the Rite of Ascension will decide everything. Both have prepared, but neither is truly ready for what is to come. And everything is not quite as it seems.

Hello my lovely. These are my '3am Fridge Thoughts', lol. It's a series of sad poems that discuss unbalanced relationships, solitude, and mental health. Sometimes it's ok not to be ok. x But remember the silver lining. Even if it's by making art. (Note: While inspired by true events, these poems are a work of fiction. Names, places, and incidents have been changed.)

They call it El Cielo Alto, the high heaven of Manhattan. A world built on luxury the powerful can afford. Vivian Valentine has everything a woman is supposed to want. Beauty that turns heads, a name that opens doors. Marco Valentine, a man who rules the city's elite like a king behind closed doors. To the world, she is his flawless queen: the picture of grace, devotion, and perfection. But beneath the marble floors and diamond chandeliers lies rot. This was not built on love, but on secrets, old, dangerous, and buried deep beneath their marriage vows. They say every sinner has a story. Hers begins the night she stops pretending. Because this isn't salvation, it's damnation dressed in silk. Desire can destroy faster than betrayal, the closer comes to a truth no one dares speak: not all sins are hidden. Some sleep beside you every night. And some the kind you feel in your chest, the kind that make you human are the ones that can't be forgiven. As Vivian's perfect world begins to crumble, she will uncover the truth about her husband and herself. And when the masks come off, she'll find herself standing in the ruins of the life she once worshipped.
