An investigative journalist from the city visits the small but mysterious town of Raven Brooks after after the local journalist had disappeared seemingly without a trace. Adding to the mysterious anomaly of missing person cases. There he will find answers not only to the case of missing people but to long lost memories of the past as well.

Welcome to Raven Brooks a "friendly town" where everybody keeps to themselves and where you try to find your way in life but a bunch of people have gone missing without a trace now normally you would allow the police to handle this case but there is just something weird about the local neighbor Mr. Peterson like his house why is he behaving weird and what are the noises in his basement and has he have anything to do with the missing people but there no proof he has done anything so most people just a ignore Mr. Peterson's house and his basement and get on with their lives but Mr. Peterson neighbor Nicky Roth and his classmates believe that Mr. Peterson is hiding something down the depths of that door.

Nicky Roth was the one who broke into Peterson's house, only to be kidnapped and to meet with a fate that traumatized him...to a mere mumbling mess in the dark corner in the shadows with a sack that shields him from the horrors he has experienced, wearing a stitched on smile through it all. However, what if Nicky wasn't the one to be kidnapped....what if each individual on the rescue squad got captured, and they had to be the ones wearing these burn lap sacks as they mumbled in the safe little world they made for themselves behind the stitched-on smile? How would Nicky react to each of them suffering as they wear that sack?
