A villanelle poem about the current suffering of Ukraine.

I never thought that I would have to live through a war - the war in my country that forced me to leave home and travel thousands of kilometers from relatives and friends. For me, as well as for millions of Ukrainians, it all started on Feb. 24. I woke up at 6 a.m. when my beloved said, "Nastia, it has begun."

the date is Feb,24 2022 after months of tensions between Russia. Putin decided invasion was the only option. Watch as we go to the perspective of Russian soldiers as they go through the largest war in Europe since WW2 Btw I do not support Russia

Canada and Ukraine met at a movie theater. The last place you'd expect to make a new friend. Canada is a polite, bubbly and pleasing person. Ukraine is more of a shy, lonely type.
