Highest rank: #1 in Teen-Fiction and sci-fi romance, #1 mindreader, #2 humor Aaron's special power might just be the coolest- or scariest- thing ever! It's always helped with his bad-boy reputation, his rightfully arrogant all-knowing intimidation seemed to go a long way with his love life and somehow also his education. Until he met Violet, one of the smartest girls in school; a girl he's been using for years, zoning in on her mind to ultimately cheat on exams and steal the title of valedictorian. Until one day, Violet failed him. Her mind wandered all over the place- her parent's divorce, her breakup, and he couldn't help but sympathize. But Violet's a smart girl, who knows how long it'll take before she finds out. Aaron depends so much on his mind-reading capabilities that when they suddenly disappear- so does everything he hasn't worked for. His secret was like Samson and his hair, once it's told, the magic's all gone. Ectorius "Echo" Lennings, Eliza Lautner, Lainey Daine, and Grant Anderson are four supernatural investigators who've lived their lives unofficially retired from their ghostly occupation for a year now. Eliza is a writer, former reporter, and former detective Grant is a therapist, translator, and a former military worker, Echo is a photographer, And Lainey is a reporter and newspaper journalist. What will the characters do when the four of them are called to investigate a murder that took place in the house of Aymie Nordin, a neighborhood woman who had recently moved back into her family house all alone after having moved out for eight years after college and was suddenly murdered out of mysterious causes on the night of Tuesday, December 13. With fate and personal feelings against them, will they be able to solve the case and avenge the death of young Aymie Nordin? (Fun Fact: Aymie's last name is a contribution to an unpublished story of mine that's about Vampire Hunters. I thought it was a close enough link that I could sneak that in there and I thought it was a fun detail for me, as well)

(You could end up reading this twice, as this is also the prologue, which you can skip if you want, since you already read it here) A small red cardinal bird chirps in the distance, the leaves crunch that blanket the grass bordering the park as a bright orange squirrel leaps across them. I, Aphmau Shalashaska (look up Aphmau's last name), wonder how the world could be so peaceful while others could be so troubled at the same time. I let my hand fall into Travis Valkrum's gentle grasp as we cross the aged dock of the boat we boarded in leaving Starlight. My mother awaits us at the end of the dock, her dark gray hair and caramel brown eyes are all too familiar as we approach the white car door upon the left side. As we sit within the car, my mother is silent, and Travis puts his arm across my shoulders and looks at me, his face holding a slightly weak smile upon his sad face. As I stare out the window at swaying trees or people walking dogs, I let my mind wander. Will I ever be back to normal? I think, gazing down at my hands as they sit in my lap and rain batters the windows.

From chasing her red fox, Fern, through the forest- to running through a snowy birch forest filled with polar bears, arctic foxes, snowy owls, arctic wolves- and the other competitors of the games, who are thirsty for victory- Josefina Raven must fight to death after volunteering in place of her brother, Diego, for The Hunger Games. DISCLAIMER: This story consists of language, minor sexual content, and violence. Viewer discretion advised. CAUTION: Content is not cannon, some elements of the movies are missing or changed such as the numerous on-stage interviews featured in the movies, the way the competitors of each district are let into the arena, and some rules of the games. Some elements have been inspired heavily on movie elements such as some dialogue and maybe some scenes. Katniss and Peeta never existed in this time universe and this storyline is not completely finished in my brain, so bear with me. Thank you, and welcome to The Hunger Games.

(This is my second time ever writing a book description, so please just bear with me on this one) Dean Silvers, a 16-year-old boy, abused by his father and suffering from a severe case of suicidal depression, feels no more hope in his life. Rhys Dawn, a 17-year-old boy, supposed to never be stressed or insecure or struggling, actually carries some doubt, fear, and self-consciousness, while hiding it all with his intelligent and hard-working personality. What happens when two childhood friends and supposed opposites fall in love and shit hits the fan? (Some of this doesn't actually work with the semi-improvised plot and storyline, and it truly isn't my best work, so I apologize for the crappy description) Thanks! Enjoy my first non-fanfiction story! WARNING: This story contains elements of suicide, severe depression, sexual harassment, and sexual scenes. Please view with caution, and viewer discretion is advised.

It had been a year since Mallory Alvarez had finally escaped the suffocating grip of Vale Darkwood's toxic love. The memory of his manipulative words, the constant barrage of insecurities he'd instilled in her, still lingered like a phantom limb. Vale, the boy who'd followed her to college only to drop out a month later and run off with a girl who embodied everything Mallory wasn't - blonde, blue-eyed, and impossibly thin - had left a gaping wound in her soul. Mallory had been diligently rebuilding herself since then, focusing on her education and mental health. The college library had become her sanctuary, a place where she could immerse herself in the world of books and escape the echoes of Vale's venomous whispers. One afternoon, while settling into her usual spot, she noticed a quiet guy studying at the desk in front of her. He was undeniably cute, with a soft smile playing on his lips as he focused intently on his textbook. The thought of dating had been a foreign concept for Mallory, but seeing this stranger, this kind-faced boy, stirred something within her. Maybe, just maybe, after a year of healing and self-discovery, she was ready to risk opening her heart again. She found herself drawn to him, captivated by his quiet intensity, and the idea of asking him out, a bold act for someone who'd spent a year trying to forget the sting of rejection, began to bloom in her heart. A flicker of hope, a whisper of possibility, danced on the edge of her hesitation. Hope you all enjoy this new one by me! (Some character credit goes out to my younger sister and some characters are inspired by characters from Aphmau's Mystreet series on YouTube)
