Rob once again has a plot to make Gumball's life miserable, but he may find there is someone out there better suited. In the meantime, Gumball is contemplating what he has to offer Penny. He seems to cause her only grief. However, what happens when an ancient secret of his family surfaces?

Set in future Elmore, Gumball and company have come a long way from their days as students at Elmore Junior High. Gumball now has finally settled down, and has forged a strong relationship with his childhood sweetheart Penny and has raised a family. Gumball has followed in his mother's footsteps by working in the Rainbow Factory, but as an accountant. The days are long and grueling, but now he understands what his mother truly meant by the joys of raising a family, and he wishes to spend more time with them, so he schedules a few days off. Unbeknownst to him, Penny has arranged for the entire Watterson family to join them on a vacation, one that will take them to the rural outskirts of Elmore National Park, California! This time around, Darwin has won a sweepstakes in contest, that allows him to bring the entire family along for round 2 of fun on a family cruise! The Watterson adults have also resorted to their old ways of fun since last Vacation, and the kids have certainly welcomed it. But...stranger tides lead the seemingly tranquil and relaxing vacation to an uncharted island....can the Watterson's still have an enjoyable vacation? Will they ever make it back to Elmore?
