Agent 8 was scared of just about everything. Loud noises, sudden movements, anyone significantly bigger than her, any and all ink bombs, anything pointing a weapon at her, C.Q. Cumber, and that was just the tip of the iceberg. Who could blame her really? After what she'd been through? So it's no small surprise when Agent 3 discovers that she isn't on that extensive list.

After facing the struggles the Deepsea Metro, Nova now found himself on the surface. More specifically, Inkopolis. With Agent 3 making the decision of taking 8 under her wing, their friendship begins. However, 8 notes the seriousness that 3 wields, yet is determined to pursue their friendship. However, it is clear to Nova that while Inkopolis as a whole was amazing in his eyes, it is clear that he's not particularly welcomed with the rest of the inklings. With a city new to the octoling, comes a new life, and with that, new struggles. That isn't to say that newfound feelings aren't included... How will Agent 8 come to deal with these new challenges? But when their enemies form an alliance they need to put their differences and feelings aside for the greater good. But this mission will bring them closer together than they ever had been before, if they survive that is.

This story begins in Splatoon 2, but I will mark in the chapter list when the story jumps to Splatoon 3 for those of you who want to jump straight to that point instead.
