Chloe Anderson. On the outside, she is a seventh grade English teacher, Christian, and kind. On the inside, the woman has a troubled relationship past, difficulty opening up to people, and walls built high in the air and too thick to penetrate. Then Luke Jones comes along to be the other seventh grade English teacher. Despite her hesitations, Chloe can't help but taking an interest in him. The only way for him to get rid of the walls is to unlock the front gate. The problem for Chloe is letting herself hand over the key.

Lilly is a 13 year old girl on her first day of eighth grade. But her life isn't normal. Her father beats her, and she does all of the chores. Her mother does something terrible, too. One day, she finds out a secret about her favorite teacher, Miss Miller. Who are her real parents? And this is ony the beginning.
