Daemon Targaryen learned from his own experience that being nice to your bastard daughter might be surprisingly beneficial. Even more so when she was sent back in time by the Old Gods and now is very keen on saving your life, helping you marry the only woman you have ever loved, and then protecting your wife's right to the throne. All in all, Daemon Targaryen won a lottery he didn't even know he bought the ticket for. Main pairings: Daemon Targaryen/Rhaenyra Targaryen Otto Hightower/Original Female Character Helaena Targaryen/Original Female Character Posted originally on ao3 ("To Take What Is Rightfully Ours" by Teresa_of_FicWill).

The same experiments were reason she was left with the High Warlock of Brooklyn instead of growing up with her sister. Growing up away from her family and Shadowhunters, Myrcella considered her life to be routine until one day she was raving with her best friend and saw a group of Shadowhunters that would change her life forever. House Valaerys, like the Targaryen's and Velaryon's, had survived the Doom of Valyria, caused by the Fourteen Flames. At the beginning of the Targaryen dynasty, House Valaerys was considered a lower house despite their fair skin, silver hair and glowing blue eyes that were unique to them and them alone. They were different then the others that descended from Valyrian blood. But as time passed, they grew to be one of the most powerful Houses in Westeros. House Targaryen ruled the skies. House Velaryon ruled the seas. But House Valaerys challenged both their claims with their wild spirits, wreaking all sorts of havoc on land, in the sea, and in the clouds. Most of the realm wondered... what would happen with a Valaerys being betrothed to a pure Targaryen?

My father scolds me sharply. I flinch at the anger in his voice and quickly retract my hand, inches from the trunk of the tree. "Sorry father, I couldn't help it. The trees are just so beautiful," I whine turning towards him. His face softens slightly and he scoops me up into his muscled arms. I wrap my small arms around his neck and bury my face into his shoulder. He hugs me tightly and carries me away from the forest. "Why can't we go into the forest?" I ask, looking over his shoulder to see the red and gold leaves slowly disappear from view as we climb the hill. "The forest is a dangerous place," he sighs. "How can something so beautiful be so dangerous?" I mutter in confusion. "The danger is in its beauty." **Cover by SodaliteSilver**
