Lorelei 'Rory' Thatcher didn't have much of a childhood. Her mother died when she was a baby and her father passed from drinking when she was 12. Leaving her no choice but to pack her bags and move to Texas to be raised by her paternal grandmother, Valerie. Unfortunately, Valerie passed in her sleep when Rory was the ripe age of 20 years old. She had no one left, no family but she was able to make do on her own, luckily Valerie had left her the house, so she had shelter over her head. It wasn't until three years later when she met the man she would eventually marry and a daughter she would eventually call her own, all thanks to taking a whim on a blind date that a friend of hers, Tommy Miller, had set up.
